Every space at Odegaard Lodge is built around the river. Our solar-powered chalets and the spacious Main House are designed with passive air conditioning, so they stay naturally cool through the hottest African days and nights, without the hum of machines.
Choose a one-bedroom chalet for two, a two-bedroom chalet for families or friends, or the Main House with three bedrooms and a loft the children will love. Larger groups can book the entire lodge for a private retreat.
Between adventures, cool off in our pools for both children and adults, relax on your private porch, and gather for meals in the open-air restaurant on the river’s edge, where hippos drift past and elephants sometimes come to visit. Every meal is full board, made with fresh produce from our own farm.

The Main House
Space to gather, relax, and feel at home
The main house is the heart of the lodge—generous, welcoming, and made for shared moments. It offers three spacious bedrooms, all fitted with passive air conditioning, plus a loft filled with several beds that youngsters will absolutely love. Two large, beautifully designed bathrooms add to the sense of ease and indulgence.
At its center is a soaring open-plan room that combines a full-scale kitchen and living area, framed by extra-large windows that bring the landscape right inside. Step outside to a pool that balances shade and sun, thoughtfully divided into a children’s pool and a 7-meter lap pool—perfect for both play and peaceful swims.

In total there are 11 Bedrooms available, all with Queen-Size Beds and all Bedrooms equipped with Passive Air-Conditioning. In addition there are further 4 beds (2 x Queen and 2 Twin), on the Attic in the Main House that could accommodate up to 8 more adults – maximum capacity is 28 adults. We also have 10 inflatable beds for children less than 12 years old.
